I usually sleep with a chunk of moldavite in my pillowcase, along with a small piece of quartz, rutilated quartz and rhodochrosite. Last night something must've happened where the other stones cracked my moldavite into 3 pieces. Now the larger piece has a pointy tip, almost as if it had been shaped to be used to direct the stone's energy.
Someone once told me that when moldavite breaks, it happens for a reason and that you should impart the other piece(s) to someone else who might benefit from its influence... Has anyone else heard this? What do you think?

Re: When moldavite breaks
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 3:56 PMnever w' moldavite. but w' other crystals regularly, esp. meteorites and others, they will literally bust apart in my hand w' no applied force on my part. a purely energetic phenomenon. i've heard tell that the stone was taking an energetic or karmic " hit " for you. absorbing some concious or unconcious ill vibe whose "bullet" the stone has " jumped in front of " for you. as well it may be a sure sign that your medicine w' this stone is complete and it wishes to travel w' others> : ) -

Re: When moldavite breaks
Sat, May 10, 2008 - 5:10 PMBrock, I really like your take on this phenomenon. It makes alot of sense because I'd been experiencing some nightmares and restlessness on the nights preceding that occurrence. I actually felt a presence sitting in a chair across the room whenever I turned out the lights and I suspected it was trying to disturb my sleep. After burning some white sage, I no longer feel that energy in the room or apartment.
But besides all that, the night before the moldavite cracked I remember telling my boyfriend that I was so lucky to have such an abundance of this stone and I wondered to myself if I should impart one of them to someone else. But I couldn't bear the thought of being away from either piece.
Thanks so much for the input!
